against state law in CT for MA's to administer medications. I have been
told they cannot, but i can't seem to find it written anywhere.
If you can help thanks; if not thanks for your time.

The U.S. Department of Labor states that continued employment growth for medical coders and billers is spurred by the increased medical needs of an aging population and the number of health practitioners.

Federal regulations and health insurance policies have also created a strong demand for coders in the role of compliance and provider education.

The Occupational Outlook Handbook reports that earnings vary widely and pay levels are governed chiefly by experience and qualifications. Once established, these highly skilled professionals are earning impressive wages everywhere they are.

MA Jobs in Hospitals?
06.13.03 (1:15 am)   [edit]
Hey everyone! I hope everyone is doing wonderful. I have an on going difference of opinion about MA's in hospitals. Do MA's where you live work in hospitals?

Do they get to use their job title (CMA/RMA) or is it another job discription that we happen to be qualified for?

Here in Amarillo that is how it works in our hospitals, they don't have MA positions but you can work as a CNA or PCS (patient care specialist)which both do not do justice to MA's knowledge and skills. Just curious how it was in other states or places.

Start back to work as a CMA
06.13.03 (1:11 am)   [edit]
I took the medical assistant course in 1994 and graduated and became a CMA. We moved to Alabama in 1996 and I didn't send in my dues to AAMA. I would like to start sending them in again and start back to work as a CMA.

Q: Can I do this without going back to school? If so could you send me the information I need?

Thank you.
Glenda
